Setting up an Authenticator App

Each time you log in to RPM Cloud, you must enter a 6-digit verification code that is sent to your email or to an authenticator app. The steps below show how to set up an authenticator app. This is shown with an iPhone and Google Authenticator as an example. Other apps, such as Microsoft Authenticator, can also be used.

If you are currently using verification by email, contact us to reset your authentication type. You can then switch to an authenticator app.

Step 1

On your computer, open a web browser and log in to RPM Cloud through rpm.v2cloud.com.

Step 2

Check the “Use an authenticator app” box. Scan the displayed QR code with an authenticator app on your phone. If you do not already have an authenticator app, follow Steps 3 through 5 below to install one.

Step 3

Open the App Store on your phone (the example shown here is on an iPhone). Search for “Google Authenticator.” Tap GET for the app. Once the app is installed, tap OPEN. If you already have an authentication app installed, open it and go to Step 6.

Step 4

In your authenticator app, tap “Scan a QR code.”

Step 5

Tap OK to allow the authenticator to access your camera. Then point your phone at the QR code shown on your computer.

Step 6

You should now see “V2 Cloud – dash.v2cloud.com” above a 6-digit number that changes every 30 seconds.

Step 7

On your computer, click Setup and enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app in the “VERIFY YOUR CODE” box. Click Verify. Every time you log in to your RPM Cloud server, enter the current verification code shown in your authenticator app.
