The results are in! Overwhelmingly, our favorite RPM users (all of you) are interested in seeing clients’ housing information on the Transaction Totals by Group report. This would make it easy to see any address changes that need to be included on the annual representative payee report (form SSA-6234).
Everyone who responded to this poll indicated that they do submit this annual representative payee report for their clients. We thought you would, but rules and regulations change all the time, so I wanted to make sure we were still in the loop.
The next question on the poll asked whether you use the Transaction Totals by Group report in RPM to help with the annual rep payee report. Most of you do; a small number don’t always; and a few said they didn’t know this was even a thing!
For the handful of you who didn’t know about the Transaction Totals By Group report at all, I wrote a new Knowledge Base article explaining how to use this report to quickly and easily view the payment totals (Food and Housing, Payee Fee, and Other Expenses) that you need to include on form SSA-6234. I highly recommend it—it calculates all the values for you, no math required!

Finally, I asked whether you would like to see clients’ address changes included on the Transaction Totals By Group report. This would be applicable to question 1 on form SSA-6234, which asks whether the beneficiary continued to live at the same address. Zero respondents thought this was a bad idea! Some were on the fence, but the large majority were interested in seeing this change made for version 6.1.0.
Thanks again to everyone who took a few minutes to leave thoughtful feedback on this!
