Picture this: You’re importing deposits for your clients. There’s one that just won’t work, and you’ve triple-checked that the claim number is correct. What gives?
As it turns out, it’s rare but possible for one of your client’s SSNs to be an exact match for a different client’s claim number. To prevent this from ever becoming a problem for you, we’re adding a feature in the 6.0.7 upgrade to check for duplicates across SSNs and claim numbers for all your clients. If you try to add a number that’s already in your system as either an SSN or claim number, RPM will raise the alarm.
This might also be useful if you’ve accidentally typed the wrong number or entered a claim number twice. After all, there’s a number-swapping and typo-causing poltergeist in your keyboard, right?
