View Related button
The View Related button appears at the upper right of the Transaction Detail screen.* Clicking this button will route you directly to any transactions that are closely related to the initial transaction you were viewing. This includes any corresponding transfers, voids, batch items, or deposit ticket items associated with that transaction.
*Tip: You can access the Transaction Detail screen anywhere transactions are listed in RPM (including the Transactions screen, View Trans tab on the Clients screen, and Reconcile screen) by clicking Details on the left.
In all cases, rights restrictions may prevent users from viewing transactions through View Related that they don’t otherwise have rights to view.
Single transactions
For most transactions, the View Related button will be disabled because there are no closely related transactions in the system. A disabled View Related button is shown here:

Voids
Voiding a transaction creates a separate, offsetting void transaction in RPM. For transactions that can be voided (unbatched checks, manual checks, unbatched XEFTs, deposits without deposit ticket IDs, EFTs, and other types of electronic and unprinted transactions), the View Related button will be enabled if the transaction has been voided. Clicking this button will take you directly to the corresponding void transaction.
In the example below, check #7669 was voided several weeks after it was written. Instead of hunting through transactions to locate the void record, clicking View Related takes us directly to it.

You can click View Related again to return to the original transaction.
Transfers
Transfers are always composed of two related transactions: the “transfer from” record and the “transfer to” record. In the Transaction Detail screen, you can use the View Related button to immediately view the corresponding “from” or “to” record for any transfer transaction.
In the example below, clicking View Related on the “to” record for this $30 transfer between clients takes us directly to the related “from” record.

Group transactions
Some groups of related transactions contain more than two records. For batch checks, batch XEFTs, and deposit ticket items, there may be tens or even hundreds of individual transactions in the same group. For these transactions, clicking View Related will open a list of all the related items on the Transactions screen.
In the example below, clicking View Related on one of the transactions of batch check #7680 opened a list of all the line items making up that batch check.
